Angela Eargle-Bell
Dancer
Angela Eargle- Bell, known in the company as “Angie,” was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ and has resided in Brooklyn, NY since 2013. She grew up as an instrumentalist, playing the clarinet and tenor sax while the love for dance lingered in the background. She took her first dance class at Temple University – Dance as an Art and technically her “first performance” was for a final grade as an elective to receive her Bachelor of Business Administration. Her love for dance would become a strong desire after seeing such companies as Alvin Ailey and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Attending recitals of her nieces, Angie pondered when she would be able to take dance classes for fun and have a “recital” to display what she had learned. That wish would begin to come true when Angie met Audrey Madison, in December 2014 at a professional development workshop they attended. Audrey mentioned she taught dance classes and the possibility of performing. In 2015, Angie attended Audrey’s classes and a few months later, she was rehearsing for her first official performance of Inspiration Rising. Angie will never forget becoming a MoJazz company member and her first performance, which will always have a special place in her heart. The love of dance and Audrey’s infectious spirit for dance and teaching of different styles, led Angie to explore other adult classes at Alvin Ailey, Dance Theatre Harlem, and Ronald K. Brown/Evidence.
For Angie, dancing with MoJazz has been an awesome, free expression, mind-body connection and heartwarming experience that always brings a smile to her face. She appreciates the positive energy, good vibes, and excitement that this sisterhood ignites. Angie is a Human Resources Professional with over 15 years of experience in the education industry at an Ivy League university. She gets to share this dance journey with her loving and supportive husband, Keith, bonus son Michael, family, friends and her fur baby Coco.
