Marie Rosenberg

Dancer/Advisory Committee

Marie Rosenberg hails from Jamaica, NY and started taking dance classes at Ballet Hispánico under the direction of Tina Ramirez. Marie later studied Dunham Technique at Hunter College with Charles Moore, becoming a member of his company, Charles Moore Dance Theatre for over 10 years. Marie’s dance training expanded across many genres and with many notable teachers as a scholarship student at Clark Center for the Performing Arts for several years. Dance went on the back burner as her career in Information Technology took off and continued for over 30 years at the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).

Occasional classes would briefly reignite the spark, but it was not until Marie retired from ASCAP that she reconnected with her dance sister Audrey Madison and started taking her dance class in 2015. In an instant, Marie knew that she found a new dance home filled with fascinating, fun, and fabulous women who became her dance sistars. Marie is currently a volunteer board member of and creates the newsletter for the non-profit Clark Center NYC Inc., whose mission is to preserve and share the legacy of the Clark Center for the Performing Arts through special events and programs. She also has fun creating projects with photos from MoJazz events and outings, as well as assisting with MoJazz’s social media accounts and website.

Marie lives in Long Island, NY with her loving hubby Neil and is the proud Mom of two sons. She looks forward to the weekly train ride into Brooklyn for additional uplifting and fulfilling doses of MoJazz Dance!
